Cats on parade

Just before spring break, Day Dorm 2nd Floor decided to have a floor activity. The activity was to go ice skating at Slice of Ice, and outdoor ice skating rink in Milwaukee. I was one of the drivers for the trip, and so four other girls and I set out in search of the ice rink. Unfortunately, mapquest doesn't take construction into consideration when giving out directions, and Milwaukee is not the greatest at detour signs. Needless to say, we got lost. However, we got directions from a friend and finally arrived at Slice of Ice.

Ice skating with all my friends was a blast. We all tried to do tricks and failed miserable. Some of tried to teach others to ice skate who have never even put skates on in their life. (I think we might have failed at that too.) Some of the girls stayed inside and sipped on Starbucks coffee; party poopers. We played tag and limbo, and even red rover; I know probably not the smartest thing to do on ice skates, but it was the most fun that I had all night. When playing red rover, we even got people not from our school asking to join in. We, of course, let them join, and learned all of their names so that they could play along. The night flew by and ended longer before I wanted it too. Alas, we all turned in our skates and headed home for the evening. Despite this, I don't think anyone with forget the night that all of paraded around the ice skating rink in our totally "checkable" pants having the time of our lives. Day dorm 2nd floor has got to be the coolest group of girls on campus, and I will always remember this night of friends and fun.
